Youtube Blocked? Here's Another Option...

Hello Eminence!

Do you have a video that you really, really, REALLY need to share with your students, but Youtube is blocked at your school?

Try this instead of Youtube:

First, log into your Google Drive with your school GAFE (Google Apps for Ed) account.  For us here at Eminence, this is the one which ends in @eminenceind.net.

Once you're logged into your Google Drive, find the video file on your computer that you created that you want to have your students watch.  Typically this will be a .mp4 file, although other types occasionally work.

Next, literally DRAG that file into your Google Drive OR click "New" --> "File Upload" to add it to your Drive.

You can now either SHARE that video directly with your students OR you can make it public and then copy/paste its link onto your Haiku/Class webpage (just like some of you already do with Google Docs).

And think: No "Ads" or the dreaded "Suggested Videos" will ever pop up.
